The National Research Centre (NRC) of Egypt is one of the largest multidisciplinary research centers in the country, dedicated to both basic and applied scientific research. Established in 1956 and located in Cairo, the NRC's main objective is to promote national economic development and social welfare through scientific research and technological development, addressing various challenges faced by the country.

NRC conducts research in a wide array of fields including agriculture, biology, chemistry, engineering, health and pharmaceutical sciences, among others. It aims to foster innovation and knowledge transfer in these areas to contribute to Egypt's scientific and technological advancement. The Centre also collaborates with international research institutions to exchange knowledge and expertise.
