Ambassador of Pakistan to China H.E. Khalil Ur Rahman Hashmi visited the ICC

On November 27, at the invitation of the International Cooperation Center Joint Council (ICC), Ambassador of Pakistan to China H.E. Khalil ur Rahman Hashmi and his delegation visited the Jianguomen office area of the ICC. Zhang Zhixiang, member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of the ICC Joint Council, former Executive Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF) for China; Zhang Yu, Convenor of the Joint Council meeting and Director of the Steering Committee of the ICC, met with H.E. Ambassador. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on China-Pakistan relations as well as common concerns in areas of bilateral strategy, politics, security, economy and finance, trade and investment, and people-to-people exchanges. They also held productive discussions on international and regional issues of common interest and reached fruitful results. The two sides indicated that they will implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen exchanges at all levels, firmly support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests, promote win-win cooperation in all fields, and speed up the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.

The two sides stressed the importance of maintaining security in Asia-Pacific, the peace and stability in South Asia. Both of them are willing to work together to promote the eight actions of high-quality Belt and Road construction, and build an “upgraded version” of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. With the support of the two governments, the two sides agreed to establish a long-term 1.5 Track dialogue mechanism between the ICC and the Embassy of Pakistan to China, invite senior officials and representatives from various sectors to attend the meeting , so as to enhance exchanges and cooperation in various fields between two countries and jointly promote regional peace, development and prosperity.
