On November 25 (local time), Dr. A.k. Khaleg, the advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met with the Asia-Pacific Affairs Advisor of the International Cooperation Center Joint Council (ICC), Mudong, in Abu Dhabi, the Capital of the UAE. The two sides believed that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Mohammed, China and the UAE had maintained a momentum of rapid development of relations, deepened political mutual trust and firmly supported each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns. At present, the situation in the Middle East is still tense. The international community, especially major countries with influence, should play a constructive role and create necessary conditions for easing tensions in the region. The ICC will continue to exert its influence to promote regional peace and stability.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE. As important members of the "Global South", China and the UAE adhere to genuine multilateralism, maintain sound communication and coordination in regional and international affairs, and work together to inject stability and certainty into a turbulent and intertwined world. Standing at a new historical starting point, the ICC will further carry forward traditional friendship with the UAE, consolidate political mutual trust, and promote bilateral high-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields. We should take the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of two countries and continuously enrich the connotation of China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership.

The two sides also discussed other matters. They exchanged views on China-US relations, the situation in the Middle East and other international and regional issues of common interest and reached a number of consensuses.
