The Special Representatives of the ICC Meets with the Israeli Ambassador to China Eli Belotsercovsky

On August 27th, Zhang Yu, Convener of the Joint Conference and Director of the Steering Committee of the ICC, met with H.E. Mr. Eli Belotsercovsky, the new Israeli Ambassador to China, at the Jianguomen office area of the ICC. Ambassador Belotsercovsky introduced Israel's views on the current situation and its position. The ICC expressed great concern over handling regional hot issues and humanitarian crises. Both sides, from a historical perspective and a long-term viewpoint, extensively exchanged views on the relationship between China and Israel, the situation in the Middle East, the coordination of semi-official dialogues between China and Israel, as well as the building international consensus for peace promotion, and facing the complex situations at the regional and global levels. 

Relevant officials from the Secretariat of the ICC, the International Strategy Research Center of the ICC, the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Working Committee of the ICC attended the meeting along with the Political Counsellor of the Israeli Embassy in China.
