ICC Delegation Conducts Research and Exchanges with China National Symphony Orchestra

Zhang Yu, Deputy Director of the Steering Committee of the Joint Council of the International Cooperation Center (ICC), led a delegation from the center to engage in research and exchange activities with the China National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) on September 11, 2023. The delegation was warmly received by Zhou Yu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CNSO.

Consensus were made between the research delegation and officials from the CNSO on topics including deepening cultural exchanges with the international community, promoting global presence of Chinese culture, and aligning institutional development with the national agenda. Both sides have also engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation and coordination in public diplomacy, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and other matters of mutual interests.

Members of the delegation include Qian Zhu, guest expert of the ICC, Deputy Director of the Central Liaison Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and President of the magazine Art and Design sponsored by Economic Daily, Cheng Yu, the Executive Secretary of the ICC, as well as Xin Shaosong, Executive Deputy Director of the Office of the ICC. Liao Yanru, guest expert of the ICC and Deputy Chief of the CNSO, along with Sui Yuhan, Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the CNSO attended the meeting.
