Brief Introduction of ICC

The International Cooperation Center (ICC) , as part of China’s central government's initiative to build a group of think tanks and foster international cooperation via modern policy institutes, was jointly built by more than 10 key research institutions in the fields of social sciences and foreign affairs. Recognized by national administrative bodies, the ICC operates as China’s first international knowledge hub with a joint council management structure. It focuses on forward-looking and strategic issues and carries out projects assigned by relevant authorities. The ICC has established work coordination mechanism with the international cooperation departments of central and state organs, people's organizations and public institutions. This alliance has formed a robust global research and cooperation network for the ICC. Over time, the ICC has become an important platform for analyzing global changes, understanding China's evolving role, and promoting international engagement and cooperation.

The purpose of the International Cooperation Center is to strengthen the study of international issues and serve the overall situation of national work. Under the ICC Joint Council, there are six scientific research institutions and five branches in specific areas, which pay close attention to the world's changes. Leveraging its expertise in forward-looking research and crisis management, the Center addresses critical issues in areas of world politics, world economy, multilateral affairs, and international peace. Up to now, the Center has maintained regular exchanges with high-level officials of more than 60 countries and regions, as well as international organizations. The ICC is playing an important role in the field of China's "one and a half track" diplomacy.
